  .An EC online or encumbrance certificate is a document that confirms a property is devoid of all legal and financial obligations. Besides this, it displays the property's condition and details and the total number of its previous owners. It also includes information on earlier ownership transfers and the property's mortgage compulsions. You cannot attain the encumbrance certificate for properties for which the mortgage has not been done. An EC online certificate is also necessary if you apply for a loan to buy that property or if you plan to use the loan to buy another property.
