Significance of Purvanchal Expressway Route

The Purvanchal Expressway Route has been constructed using sustainable raw materials recovered from waste 

tires. Over 10,000 tons of carbon emissions were reduced by using recycled rubber to make the expressway. Along with this, around 1 50,000 waste tires were recycled and used for making the expressway. 


This is an initiative by the Government of Uttar Pradesh toward Greener tomorrow by building a world-class Expressway. Therefore, it is an environment-friendly mega infrastructure project contributing to India’s circular economy goals.
