Everything about the Pink Line Metro
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has recently taken an initiative to connect all Delhi Metro networks together. The entire Delhi Metro connectivity has been named as ‘Pink Line Corridor’. The Delhi Metro project is a major part of Delhi Metro Phase III. The route is presently operational from Majlis Park to Mayur Vihar Pocket I and Trilokpuri to Shiv Vihar.
However, the route from Trilokpuri to Shiv Vihar came
operational on 6 August 2021. It is also popular by the name ‘Ring
Corridor’. Most interestingly, the pink line metro route is said to be having the longest corridor of the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation. It will form like a ring that will have interchange facilities with all present metro routes.
What is the Pink Line Metro Route?
Interestingly, the DMRC has planned the route with 26 elevated and 12 underground stations. On the other hand, one of the Pink Line Metro routes will have the highest point at Dhaula Kuan, which will mark up to 23.6 meters. This will be similar to a seven-storey building. The Pink Line metro route falls under the Metro Phase IV. The stretch of the entire route will connect from Maujpur to Majlis Park. This means the route will be 12.5 km long, including eight metro stations. This includes Yamuna Vihar, Bhajanpura, Khajuri Khas, Soorghat, Sonia Vihar, Jagatpur Village, Jharoda Majra, and lastly, Burari.
