Making housing options easier and affordable

According to research, around 77 percent of the household wealth in India has been invested in the real estate sector. This shows that Indians still prefer investing in real estate rather than numerous investment options. Real estate is considered a safe investment option, but you have to be very careful while searching and verifying land records before buying the property. Having information and data on the property is essential as land records aid administration. Ownership of a property in India is presumptive and cannot be judged using a single document. Documents such as records of right to know about the land or property, tax receipts, and registered sale deeds to know about all the particulars transacted land. Etc. are collectively used to establish ownership rights on the property. Therefore, it becomes vital to check all the records of the land before buying it.

Searching for land records in West Bengal

Searching land records can be very handy. So, West Bengal’s land and land reforms and refugee relief and Rehabilitation Department have set up the West Bengal land record Banglarbhumi portal. It is a West Bengal portal that contains all land records, and property information. Banglarbhumi Land Records portal provides West Bengal’s land records search by the record of rights, names, plot information, GRN and mutation, plot maps, and others. The Banglarbhumi Land Records portal’s land information helps to reduce the effort and time spent by users.

Even as India’s economy is growing very fast, with a growth rate of 8.2%. India does not have adequate housing options for those economically and socially weaker sections of the society in Karnataka. So, the authority has decided to play a role in the implementation of state and central housing schemes. The Rajiv Gandhi Rural Housing Corporation Limited(RGRHCL) was established in 2000 to promote cost-effective building technologies in rural areas and provide affordable housing options to the economically weaker Society of Karnataka. The authority has created a beneficiary list from the eligible households to provide homes to the underprivileged sections of the society that is approved by the local gram Sabha. Those who wish to construct their own homes get assistance from the RGRHCL.

RGRHCL: objectives of the authority

Under the RGRHCL project scheme, the objectives of the authority are three-layered, and they are as follows-

  1. The first and primary goal of the authority is to provide affordable housing options to the economically backward class. It aims to ensure maximum optimization of the RGRHCL project that is valid throughout the state of Karnataka.

  2. Coming to the second objective of the authority is the strengthening and promotion of the cost-effective techniques deployed for the building of houses in rural areas. It has been specially introduced to the rural section of the state to ensure prosperity and growth.

  3. The third objective of the authority is to increase the efficiency and transparency of the whole process. The management is trying to be better, and the optimization is ensured through digital means by embracing new technologies.
